The act of sending a commercial message, usually to a group of people, using email. In its broadest sense, any email sent to a potential or current customer can be considered email marketing. It usually involves the use of email to send advertisements, search for jobs or solicit sales or donations, and is designed to build brand loyalty, trust or awareness. Email marketing addresses can be sent to a purchased lead list or current customer database. The term usually refers to sending emails to improve a merchant's relationship with current or past customers, foster customer loyalty and repeat business, gain new customers, or persuade current customers to buy something immediately and share third-party ads.
What is Email Marketing? Email marketing is actually the use of email as a channel to promote products or services. A better definition of email marketing is to use email as a channel for developing relationships with potential clients. In order to get a better understanding of what email marketing is, you need to know that it is just one of the segments of internet marketing that includes online marketing for websites, social networks, blogs, etc. This is actually the same thing as direct mail, except that the letter is sent electronically instead of by mail. The big drawback of email marketing is the spam that regularly fills our email inboxes. Certain companies collect emails from specific target groups and later sell those lists to other companies, who later use them as a client base to send promotional offers. All this is quite irritating and as such, gives email marketers a bad reputation. Most people hear about email marketing when they think of harassment.
In the best context, email marketing allows businesses to regularly inform their customers and tailor their marketing messages to the needs of the target group.
